What is a craft sangha?
A craft sangha is a group of people who come together to make things and practice mindfulness. Together, we reweave connection to ourselves, each other, and the earth through our hands.
All are welcome regardless of experience or root tradition.
Slowing down, stitch-by-stitch.
Mindful craft is a way to enhance our reverence for the objects we crate by honoring all the effort, time, wisdom, and lifeforms woven into them.
Mindful craft is an intentional approach to hand craft that invites us to expand our awareness of our materials, our making process, and the way we care for the objects we produce. By crafting mindfully, we can create a physical expression of our interbeing nature. Inviting our mindfulness practice into our knitting can help to expand our awareness of the plants, animals, people, and landscapes interwoven in our craft. Through this intentional practice, we are invited to make in such a way that does no harm to people, cultures, and environments. Crafting mindfully, we increase our capacity for understanding, joy, and compassion while cultivating our inner well of peace, solidity, and creativity.
