Mexico Interwoven

What to Expect

Imagine an experience of seeing the world through your hands. On this journey, we will explore the practice of craft as a pathway to connect deeply to our bodies, to the land we walk upon, to the beings that surround us, and to the rich cultural heritage that informs our understanding of place.

This is more than a trip. Using the language of hand-woven textile and the ancient wisdom of natural dyes, we will practice retelling the story of ourselves as profoundly interwoven in the fabric of this rich, living world.

A Slowe(er) Travel Experience

An itinerary intentionally designed with enough with space, time, and practice to allow you to fully experience the beauty of a new place.

Immersion into Place-Based Craft

The opportunity to embody place and cultural tradition through three days of textile craft workshops.

Mindfulness, Meditation, & Ceremony

Daily guided mindfulness practices to settle and ground you alongside traditional experiences of ritual and ceremony throughout the week.

Like-minded Community

A small group of travelers who share a longing to see and experience the world differently.

Join us for a week exploring one very particular place in the living world: one where touch opens a gateway to land, to living beings, and to the ancestral histories that have shaped our present: The Oaxaca Valley of southern Mexico. Throughout this region, the reverberation of rich artisanal tradition offers a different way of listening to the world’s Story through our hands.

Part One

Tending Body, Mind & Spirit

As everyone arrives, we take time to settle in, get comfortable, and begin connecting with those around us. The journey starts here.

Part Two

Cultivating a Relationship to Place

Together, we pause to consider our goals, hopes, and direction. This is about aligning with ourselves and with the journey ahead. This is a chance to reconnect with what brought you here—your questions, your hopes, your turning points—and consider how they’ve shifted or deepened.

Part Three

Working with Natural Dyes & Weaving as Connective, Contemplative Practice

Together, we pause to consider our goals, hopes, and direction. This is about aligning with ourselves and with the journey ahead. This is a chance to reconnect with what brought you here—your questions, your hopes, your turning points—and consider how they’ve shifted or deepened.

Part Four

Honoring our Origins

We explore the possibilities beyond this moment, making space for growth, action, and forward momentum. As we end our time together, we honor the experience, the growth, and the connections made along the way.
